Portfolio: Electrodynamics

Work: Embedded System Development (Assembly, C), Desktop Development (Visual Basic)

In the mid 1990's I was hired full time at Electrodynamics, a defense contractor specializing in military flight data recorders ("black boxes") and other embedded data acquisition systems.

While at Electrodynamics I was part of the team that designed the flight data recorder for the F-22 fighter. As part of that work I wrote the power-on bootstrap code that initialized the device components and performed the startup built in tests.

Along with my F-22 work I also worked on updates to the B-1 flight data recorder, helped design and develop an electronic "dead mans stick" for GE's next generation diesel locomotives and created the first version of a desktop GUI for an FAA ground control test system.
